Dominic - Head Instructor

Dominic is the Head Instructor for Haedong Kumdo, Gungsul, and Nunchaku, and honestly, he comes pretty close to being a modern-day ninja.

He’s been practicing martial arts since he was ???, and over the years, he’s trained in Taekwondo, Nunchaku, Gungsul and Haedong Kumdo.

Dominic holds a 3rd Dan in Haedong Kumdo, Expert level in Gungsul, and ??? in Nunchaku. He brings a ton of experience to every class. Dominic has a great eye for technique, but he also knows how to keep things fun and motivating. He teaches in a relaxed and informal way, with humor. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to level up your skills, you’ll be in good hands.

Kelly - Instructor

Kelly teaches Haedong Kumdo, Gungsul, and Nunchaku — and she’s known for making everyone feel welcome, whether you’re picking up a sword for the first time or perfecting your archery stance.

She’s 2nd Dan in Haedong Kumdo, Expert level in Gungsul and ??? in Nunchaku. She brings both skill and a calm, approachable vibe to her classes. She’ll both challenge you and cheer you on at the same time.

Bas - Instructor

Bas teaches Haedong Kumdo and Gungsul.

He holds 1st dan in Haedong Kumdo and Advanced level in Gungsul.

Michiel - Instructor

Michiel teaches Haedong Kumdo and Gungsul, and brings a calm, friendly energy to every class. He holds a 1st Dan in Haedong Kumdo and an advanced level in Gungsul, with a teaching style that’s clear, patient, and always encouraging.

Michiel also brings experience with yoga to his classes, with accents on focus, flow and body awareness. Whether you’re working on your first cut or fine-tuning your technique, training with Michiel feels grounded, balanced, and genuinely enjoyable.

Zena - assistant instructor Gungsul

Zena teaches Gungsul. She holds red/blue belt in Haedong Kumdo and Expert level in Gungsul.

 

Tibor - assistant instructor Gungsul

Tibor has been into martial arts since he was six. Along the way, he’s picked up degrees in Judo, Aikido, and two styles of Pencak Silat (Pamor Badai and Cimande). He also trains in Kickboxing, Shorinji Kempo, Haedong Kumdo, and holds expert level in Gungsul.

Tibor’s teaching style is no-nonsense but always supportive — he believes in giving clear, practical guidance while keeping the atmosphere positive. He loves watching students grow, gain confidence, and discover what they’re capable of, one arrow at a time.
